GREENWAY PLAZA

Once a forgotten area of town, today Upper Kirby and the adjacent Greenway Plaza area are at the center of Houston's growth. The multi-use West Ave project is the heart of Upper Kirby with its assortment of excellent restaurants and fine boutiques. Rub elbows with the post-work crowd at Oporto Café or Upper Kirby’s Downing Street Pub, where preppy patrons smoke cigars and unwind at the end of a long day. Or enjoy dinner at one of the city's celebrated restaurants Tony's

Greenway Plaza is a modern and convenient neighborhood that has become a major hub for business and commerce in Houston. Located west of downtown Houston, Greenway Plaza covers 52 acres of land and has 11 buildings. Greenway Plaza is home to many companies, including ExxonMobil Chemical Company, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, and Invesco. You can find everything from banking and fitness to dining and shopping in Greenway Plaza.

One thing to keep in mind when visiting Greenway Plaza is that it’s a busy and crowded neighborhood, so the traffic and parking can be challenging. However, many people find that the benefits of working or living in Greenway Plaza, such as its accessibility and amenities, more than make up for the hassle.

Here are 3 things to consider when moving to the Greenway Plaza neighborhood in Houston:

  1. Convenience: Greenway Plaza is a commercial district located just outside of Houston's downtown area. It is home to numerous office buildings, restaurants, and retail shops. If you're looking for a place that is close to work or where you can run errands easily, Greenway Plaza could be a great option for you.

  2. Cost of living: Due to its central location and convenience, the cost of living in Greenway Plaza can be higher than in other neighborhoods in Houston. Be prepared to pay more for rent, utilities, and other living expenses. However, keep in mind that the neighborhood's proximity to work and amenities may offset some of these costs.

  3. Noise level: Because Greenway Plaza is a bustling commercial district, it can be quite noisy during the day. If you're someone who needs peace and quiet to work or relax, this may not be the ideal neighborhood for you. However, the noise level typically decreases significantly during the evening and nighttime hours.
